Quanta 5 is high performance wireless point-to-point system with a maximum throughput of 450 Mbps. It operates in frequency bands from 4900 MHz to 6000 MHz and supports the wide range of bandwidths between 3.5 Mhz and 40 MHz. Quanta 5 family devices based on Octopus SDR hardware platform that implements software-defined radio technology and have a high-scalability potential. Upgrades to wireless networks planned in the future can be performed programmatically, without the need to replace any devices.
Wireless devices has an dual polarization integrated antenna with antenna gain 23 dBi and operates in nLOS and LOS condition.
The wireless link is based on SC-FDE radio technology.
Quanta 5 supports the following features:
- Extended set of modulation coding schemes - Quanta 5 supports 14 modulations, which makes it easily distinguishable from other solutions. Even though the operations are in a periodic interference environment, the performance will not change with the highest phase.
- ARQ - if a data batch is damaged by interference, it will be resent. In a complex jamming environment, batch resending can occupy 50% of the entire link. Quanta 5 employs machine learning to completely restore data on damaged batches. As a result, up to 60 Mbps of valuable data transmission band is saved.
- AMC - Quanta 5 independently selects a modulation-code scheme in each polarization and sends all data streams in each direction past any interference.
- Instant DFS - Quanta 5 continuously scans the radio spectrum in the background and can switch to the least noisy frequency without breaking the connection. For incoming and outgoing links, different frequencies can be selected to achieve optimum performance.
