Quanta 5 is wireless point-to-point solution with a maximum throughput of 450 Mbps. It operates in frequency range from 4900 MHz to 6000 MHz and supports the wide range of bands between 3.5 Mhz and 40 MHz. Quanta 5 family devices based on Octopus SDR hardware platform it implements software-defined radio technology and have a high-scalability potential. Planned for the future wireless networks modernization can be performed programmatically, without devices replacement.

Wireless device has a dual polarization integrated antenna with antenna gain 23 dBi and operates in nLOS and LOS condition.

The wireless link is based on SC-FDE radio technology.

Quanta 5 supports the following features:

  • Extended set of modulation coding schemes - Quanta 5 supports 14 modulations. In periodic interference conditions, the performance will stay on the highest level.
  • ARQ - in case of a data packet damaging by interference, it will be repeated. In a complex jamming environment, repeated packets can occupy 50% of the entire link. Due to machine learning Quanta 5 is able to completely restore damaged data. As a result, up to 60 Mbps of data bandwidth can be saved.
  • AMC - Quanta 5 selects an independent modulation scheme for each polarization.
  • Instant DFS - Quanta 5 continuously scans the radio spectrum in the background and can switch to the least noisy frequency without breaking the connection. For uplink and downlink traffic, different frequencies can be selected to achieve optimum performance.

The summary of Quanta 5 characteristics are given in the table below.
