InfiMONITOR depends criticaly oт stability and efficiency of disk subsystem of a server where it deployed. It's important to match the system requirements determining stability of the monitoring system. Allocated disk space is automatically splitted by InfiMONITOR installation program to the set of logical partitions to achieve the best performance and isolate critical data. There are 3 partitions in InfiMONITOR:

  • System Logs - the partition is intended to store logs of operating system and of InfiMONITOR subsystems.
  • Services - here main files of operating system and of InfiMONITOR subsystems are keeping.
  • Databases - the biggest partition intended to store databases where the monitoring data is keeping.

A number of aggregation and rotation mechanisms are functioning in the monitoring system. They are provide removing of olded data and compressing of current monitoring data.

NOTE

Access to direct managing of disk space is restricted even for InfiMONITOR administrator. Indirect impact on amount of data stored is available via configuring of events rotation period (Events management).

To check used space on each partition you should open the section "Settings" -> "System", where you can find the corresponding indicator:
